Mary Giattino The Broadway Artists IntneisveMary Giattino just completed her work as Associate Choreographer for the National Tour of BILLY ELLIOT, in addition to acting as Resident Choreographer/Swing for the original Touring Company of BILLY ELLIOT.  As a tap expert, she was also responsible for training the children in tap for BILLY ELLIOT on Broadway.  On Broadway, Mary served as Assistant Choreographer and the Dance Captain/Swing in IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS in both Broadway productions, in addition to the Los Angeles, Detroit and Toronto companies. She was also the Assistant Choreographer to Mr. Randy Skinner in City Center Encores productions of NO NO NANETTE and OF THEE I SING.  A few favorite performance credits include the Broadway and National Touring companies of 42ND STREET, kicking up her heels as a Radio City Rockette, shaking hands with President Obama at the Kennedy Center’s production of SOME ENCHANTED EVENING (a tribute to the late Senator Ted Kennedy), in addition to performing at numerous Regional Theaters across the country.  As a choreographer herself, Mary has choreographed productions of IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and 42ND STREET at the Gateway Playhouse in New York. As a tap teacher, she has been on faculty at Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in NYC.  Mary frequently travels the country to various universities and performing arts studios as a guest teacher doing what she loves most – teaching future artists!  She is the new Owner and Artistic Director of Stage Door School of Dance in East Patchogue, New York (StageDoorDancer.com).
